We understand that things may come up. If you cancel 3 or more days before your appointment, the remaining balance will not be charged.
If you cancel within 48 hours or less, you will be charged the full remaining balance
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
When booking an appointment, please provide as many details as possible about your location. This can include but is not limited to the following:
Parking – We need to know where best to park, and reserve the right to charge for any parking/valet costs incurred
Apartment/Unit Number
Room Number/Floor – This applies to hospitals, retirement homes, and any other buildings with multiple wings and rooms
Stairs/Elevators – We are bringing the salon to you, so helping us get to you faster is much appreciated
Accessibility/Check In – Be it a gated community, hospital, or any number of other facilities, knowing how to get in makes the process easier
All of these details are important for us arrive on time and provide you with the best salon experience we can offer.
30 MINUTE WINDOW
As a mobile company, some things such as weather and traffic are simply out of our control. For that reason, we ask you understand we may not arrive exactly at the scheduled start time, which in turn may then push back your end time. However, it is also our policy to keep you informed of any unforeseen delays and to provide you with updates.
APPOINTMENT TIME
Hair must be free from any products such as oils, leave-in conditioners and creams. The products used do not mix well with these and will affect the end result of your hair so please come with dry hair. We ask you to be prepared for your appointment so that you can keep to your schedule, and we can keep on providing our premier mobile salon experience to others.
Although we strive to be on time and keep appointment dates, there are times where we may need to call to re-arrange an appointment. Due to us being mobile and things changing, flexibility is always appreciated. If you need your appointment to be on the date you schedule and it is non-negotiable, please let us know in the comment section when booking your appointment. (IN ITALICS)
CHANGING YOUR STYLISTS
Please feel free to change stylists within the salon at your convenience. This provides you with a variety of talent and some flexibility in booking an appointment. We suggest that you use at least two or three stylists regularly so that you are always assured of knowledgeable, personalized service regardless of emergencies, vacations, illnesses or unexpected travel plans.
A credit card is REQUIRED to book all appointments. Your credit card will be kept on file (your information will be concealed in an encrypted format which means that your information is confidential and safe).
IMPORTANT ONLINE BOOKING INFORMATION
Please do not book an appointment for another client under your profile! The appointment must be booked under that client’s profile name, phone number and email address!
Your appointment time may be adjusted 15-30 min to optimize the service provider’s schedule. You will receive an e-mail notification if this is the case.
Please note that a Blow Dry is NOT included with a color service, please add it on to your service selection.
Please note that if a color (root touch-up, foil and etc.) appointment is booked as the Stylists last appointment of their shift, we will have to reschedule it, as there will not be enough process time.
If you have a child who is also a client of Studio Nu and their account is merged with yours, please be aware that your credit card will also be on their account if they book their own service.
Where We Travel
Studio Nu currently service Chicago area suburbs, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York local areas. We travel to businesses, private residences, hospitals, hotels, photoshoots, and more, and bring all the equipment and tools you’re used to in a typical salon environment.
We’re happy to book appointments for individuals, couples, families, bridal parties, bachelorette parties, ladies’ night out, post-baby in-hospital blowouts, photoshoots, and any other special event.

Hair can be provided for weaving services. Braiding services come with basic hair colors in 1, 1b, 2, and 4 with most of our braiding styles. Clients are welcome to provide their own hair to accompany the desired style. We are not responsible for hair purchased outside our salon. You must maintain your hair between visits in order to receive the full benefit and longevity of your investment.
Here at “Studio Nu,” we take pride in giving our clients our very best. Therefore, if you are not satisfied with the services provided to you, you must contact the salon at 847-616-8820 immediately for minor adjustments to your style. If a new style is requested, you will be charged accordingly for the new services, in addition to the first style, already created.
For clients with thinning or balding issues, we strongly recommend a consultation before your service. We are not responsible for hair loss or hair breakage from hair weaves or braids removed outside of Studio Nu. If you have received services prior to contacting Studio Nu, and come to us for removal. We are NOT responsible for any hair damage caused prior to nor during the removal process of your previous service. We strongly recommend utilizing our professional technicians to remove your styles created by Studio Nu.
If you have concerns or any issues with your scalp or are on meds that cause irritation to your skin or head. we ask that you inform us before your service. We take no responsibility for issues that we are not made aware of prior to your service for sensitivity, tenderness, abrasions, or sores to the scalp due to braiding or the hair weaving process. Our technicians perform a client comfortable check throughout their service to ensure they are comfortable.
Pictures are taken before and after all services. However, we will make every attempt to avoid any discomfort to our clients as this should be an enjoyable experience.
For everyone’s safety, we require no extra guest outside of the actual paying client to be present.
All children must always be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

2. All deposits paid are non-refundable or non-transferable. We cannot move deposits for rescheduled appointments
3. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to departure will incur a $25 fee for natural and a $50 fee for synthetic (braids) PROTECTIVE STYLES ONLY
4. Please create a username and password to log in to your account and access information on upcoming appointments
5. Please make sure you book your child’s appointment with the proper length charge and additional services like Wash & Blow Dry
6. Children arrive sick with cough/fever/excessive/congested runny nose will result in appointment cancellation
A deposit is required to confirm your reservation and is nontransferable and non refundable. Deposits are deducted from your final payment.
Rescheduling appointments or cancellations must be received 48 hours or more prior to your scheduled appointment or a fee will be charged to your card on file:
Natural style cancellation fee: $25.00
Synthetic style cancellation fee: $50.00
New to Studio Nu? Before your first appointment with us can be confirmed, a team member will contact you to complete a new client consultation via phone or video chat.
Please do not book an appointment or reschedule the one you have if you or anyone in your household are exhibiting any allergy, cold, or flu symptoms. We ask that you be symptom free for at least 48 hours before scheduling.

Monetary refunds will not be made for hair services rendered however we will happily make adjustments to the original service upon approval of your stylist. Requests for haircut or hair color adjustments must be made within 7 days of the original appointment. Most corrective color processes require multiple visits; for this reason color adjustments do not apply to corrective color appointments. Model services are not eligible for future adjustments.
Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices listed on our menu or estimated over the phone are “starting at”. They may vary depending on hair length, thickness, and time required performing your services.
Stylists are given the authority to use their discretion for pricing
Please feel free to tip your stylist in cash, their personal Cash App or Zelle. We DO NOT accept tips added to service costs when paying by credit card.
Color history and the use of medications must be divulged when consulting with your stylist. If you are currently under the care of an MD, it is (your) responsibility to research if color services are compatible with any prescription medication or cancer treatment which you are currently being treated with, or have used prior to your color appointment. Your stylist is not a trained medical physician.
Below is a list of items to address with your colorist prior to your appointment - as these items may cause negative chemical reactions to the hair when mixed with salon chemicals services.
• Previously over-processed hair* by repeatedly layering dyes over porous pre-lightened hair. This is most important especially if you have long hair. Previous color will still be on your mid shaft and ends.
• Taking prescription medication* that inadvertently alters the bonds of the hair (methotrexate, sulfa based medications).
• Thermal damage* by over-use of hot tools.
• Use of metallic dyes, salts, or minerals* (box color) or use of "over mineralized well water" chemicals may cause negative reaction to enlightenment services use of henna or vegetable dyes* chemicals may cause negative reaction to enlightenment services.
• Permed or relaxed hair* chemicals may cause negative reaction to enlightenment services.
WE USE ONLY THE BEST PRODUCTS IN OUR SERVICES.
To continue your regimen at home, all salon products used are available for purchase.
Your stylist can assist you in your product selection.
*Our products are made to order & ship to the US & Canada within 24 hours via USPS if placed by 10am. Tracking & order updates will be emailed.
*Local Delivery orders will be completed and delivered on the next delivery date.
Tues-Thurs 9am-Noon. Local delivery is free up to 5 miles. Longer distances will incur a delivery fee of a minimum $10 every 5 miles.
*Curbside PickUp is available on the following days Monday & Friday 9am-12pm Wednesday 10am-1pm. Orders must be placed by 10am to schedule the very next pickup date & time. Have name or order number ready for pickup.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we offer store credit will be issued for returns after 14 days.
Anything past 30 days is not returnable.
Receipts must accompany all returns.
